About The Program

Join us at the Outdoor Discovery Center for an evening of playful upcycled art making! Multi-disciplinary artist Taylor Scamehorn leads this unique workshop on building with plaster and recycled materials. Learn how to create mini plaster display houses that you can use to show off your treasures or small collected items. Tap into your curiosity and go on a nature walk to collect small items for your display. All materials are included. Beginners welcome!

Taylor Scamehorn (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist in Kalamazoo, MI with a BFA in photography. Her focuses are in drawing, photography, sculpture, printmaking and papermaking, and she believes that the pursuit of education across media sets artists’ creative ideas free to be realized in whichever form best communicates them.
