About The Program
Join the SCA for an introduction to public art and murals with renowned artist Sandra Antongiorgi! Using contact paper, tissue paper, paint and tempera sticks, campers will work together to create a mural. This camp will discuss public and political art, and how artists use their work to share their ideas. Campers will design a collaborative mural where each child will share their own message, drawing or design tying into the larger theme of Community.
Our Guest Artist: Sandra Antongiorgi is an accomplished singer, songwriter and painter. She is a Puerto Rican native whose life experiences in Chicago and inherent talent have woven together with a diverse and impressive body of work in the arts. Check out her Exhibition “Elevating Humanity: Forging Healing Through Connection” in the SCA’s main gallery space June 4- September 10.
