We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for you to “make your mark” in the SCA theater and help install new seating!
As we enter the SCA’s 23rd year of community impact and service, the theater remains the hub of our facility. It’s home to our own professional theater productions, concerts, film screenings, conferences, plus community events. More than 20,000 guests each season experience the theater!
We’re launching the Make Your Mark campaign to install new seats throughout the entire theater!
We’ll create an upgraded experience with theater seats customized for the SCA. The new seats feature ergonomic chair backs and cup holders. And, each seat includes a recessed plaque for personalized messages.
You can make your mark by purchasing one – or more – chairs. Consider chairs for:
- Yourself and your spouse/partner
- Your children or grandchildren
- Celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary
- Recognizing your business
- In memory of a loved one / pet
- Sharing your favorite quotation
- A special gift for the person who has everything!

FAQs
If I purchased a plaque in the past or want to purchase another plaque what’s the life of the plaque?
The life of a plaque coincides with the life of the theater seat. which we anticipate will be 20+ years). Previous plaques on seats will be retired with new seats.
How many characters are allotted for each plaque?
34 characters (including spaces) for each line; up to 2 lines.
Can I buy more than one seat?
Yes! We welcome the purchase of multiple seats.
Can I choose a specific seat?
Unfortunately, supporters will not be able to choose their seats.
Will I get to sit in my seats at performances I attend?
This campaign is a naming opportunity and does not guarantee seating in the location bearing your inscription when attending productions. But, when ordering your tickets, you can select the seat(s) with your plaque if they’re available.
Where will the seat plaque be placed?
Plaques are in a recessed spot on the right arm of each chair.
Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes, seat donations are 100% tax deductible.
NOTE: The Saugatuck Center for the Arts will review all language submitted for each plague. We reserve the right to reject unacceptable or inappropriate language that is not in line with our values.
