Young Actors Workshop is in partnership with our friends at Saugatuck-Douglas District Library. This camp takes place at their location at 174 Center St in Douglas.

The Saugatuck-Douglas District Library strives to be a welcoming place that supports lifelong learning, inspires the exploration of ideas and culture, and enriches the lives of all our users through diverse materials, programs and services.

About The Program

Join us as we create and perform an original adaptation of a children’s book! Campers will try their hand at playwriting while exploring the tools of the actor, learning the basics of performance, playing theatre games, and connecting with each other. The camp culminates in a performance for families and friends on the last day of camp.

Exploring drama helps children build confidence, learn to express themselves, and collaborate in an ensemble, while having a whole lot of fun! Whether your child is brand new to performing, or this is just one of many experiences, we promise to meet your child right where they are.
