Unique creative experiences, designed for families, toddlers, teens, and everyone in-between.

June 13 - August 22

Ages 1.5 - 15

Let your children experience the JOY of creativity this summer!  Inspired by the lush lakeshore environment that surrounds the Art Center, all of our classes include experiment-based art projects, multidisciplinary learning, outdoor kinesthetic activities, and plenty of movement to keep both mind and body active and creative.

Allow your creativity to grow with us! Discover something new about the world – or yourself!

Welcome to the intersection of art, community, and joy: professional theatre, world-class concerts, films, exhibitions, education and outreach. The Saugatuck Center for the Arts is a community sparkplug bringing people – and learners of all ages – together under one roof.

Our summer camps and classes are designed to maximize creative impact with unexpected materials, trips to special places, and memorable connections. You’ll meet working artists and teachers who are super excited to share what they love. We’ll get your body, mind, and creative juices flowing through a variety of mediums, open air play, movement, and hands-on projects.

This summer you’ll work alongside professionals, dig into process and learn about the art of play!

Can't wait until summer?

We understand – and don’t worry, we have just the thing for you.

Mountainfilm on Tour: Saugatuck Family Film Festival
March 19 | 10:00 am + 2:00 pm screenings

Film can be more than just a fun thing to do as a family, it is also a door to open up new ideas, conversations, experiences, and worlds. Get your imagination in gear and gather the family for a day packed with adventure, exploration, and learning opportunities. One ticket includes passes for up to 4 people for a curated special set of family-friendly Mountainfilm shorts that will be shown in our theater, followed by all-ages activities in our Art Studio!

Did you know every ticket purchased for an event at the SCA helps fund our FREE or low-cost education programs for local schools and after-school programs? We’re welcoming our 20th year of hosting the annual Children’s Film Festival in March. West Michigan Students will have the opportunity to learn about indigenous lands, extraordinary conservation efforts, explore the lives of whales and dolphins – all while witnessing bold visionaries learning new skills, going on adventures, following their passions and being brave!
