Summer Camps Terms and Conditions

The need for arts education, and all the experiences it brings, has never been greater. The safety, health, and well-being of our community remains our top priority. View our Current Health & Safety Information

Together, we hope that our 2024 Summer can operate as normally as possible by asking that class participants take the following steps to reduce COVID-19 and other contagions from impacting our community through these basic measures:

  • Masks are optional. Local transmission rates or health department guidance may require an adjustment to this policy.
  • Do not attend SCA Classes if experiencing any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours (not due to a chronic condition): Fever, Chills, Cough, Difficulty breathing, Sore throat, Muscle aches, Diarrhea, Severe fatigue, Nasal congestion, Loss of taste or smell.
  • Do not attend SCA Classes if any member of your household has had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 10 days or if you are avoiding shared spaces because you are ill or because you have been directed by your medical provider or your public health official to quarantine.
  • Notify the SCA if you test positive for COVID-19 within 24 hours of attendance at an SCA Class.
  • The SCA encourages all class participants to be up to date with available vaccines in keeping with their age, ability, and religious beliefs.

Camper Agreements

Please note that as part of registering campers, you will be asked to agree to the following purchase agreements:

Camper Liability Waiver
I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that the CDC still recommends preventative measures to reduce its spread. I further acknowledge that the Saugatuck Center for the Arts (SCA) has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. I further acknowledge that the SCA cannot guarantee that I or my camper will not become infected with COVID-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, SCA staff, vendors, and other SCA patrons and their families.

I voluntarily seek summer camp opportunities provided by the SCA and acknowledge that I am increasing my camper’s risk to exposure to COVID-19. I acknowledge that I and my camper must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending any SCA summer camps.

Media / Photography Consent
I hereby authorize that the Saugatuck Center for the Arts and its agents and clients irrevocable have the right and permission to repeatedly use, and publish any and all photographs taken of me and/or my child during events/classes at the SCA. I recognize these photographs and their copyright are the sole property of the SCA. I hereby release the Saugatuck Center for the Arts and their agents and clients from any and all claims and/or libel resulting from the usage of these photographs.

Camper Expectations
The SCA is committed to a safe educational environment for all of our campers and staff, free from harassment, intimidation or bullying. We focus on redirecting any inappropriate behavior, as well as using positive narration to help encourage appropriate behavior. A very important part of our program is giving children the opportunity to learn how to get along in the world, enjoy being with other children, problem solve and follow the direction of an adult other than their parents. A caring and positive approach will be taken regarding behavior management and discipline.

The SCA has a zero tolerance policy for hitting, fighting, bullying, verbal threats, destruction of property, and elopement (leaving their group) during our program. If these behaviors are exhibited the SCA Instructors are trained to contact parents for immediate pick up depending on the severity of the incident.

Cancellation Policy

The SCA reserves the right to reschedule camps based on the availability of artists and instructors, class enrollment, and local community health conditions. In the event of an SCA cancellation or rescheduling of a camp, the SCA will offer registrants the option of holding their ticket for a rescheduled event or exchanging their ticket for an Art Pass (gift card) for the balance minus fees. When possible, cancellations will be announced a minimum of two weeks prior to the camp.

In the case of camper illness, full refunds minus fees will be honored up to the day of the camp. Please do not send campers experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness or campers who have had known exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 10 days to SCA Classes. Please contact us at boxoffice@sc4a.org to request an exchange or refund prior to the camp.
