SCA on the GO: Molly Costello

A FREE art experience hosted by the Saugatuck Center for the Arts with professional illustrator Molly Costello for grades 5 – 8.

4 Tuesday sessions: October 18 + 25, November 1 + 8 | 3:30 - 5:00 pm

Snack + Art materials provided | FREE with registration

Your registration grants access to all 4 sessions. Attendance to all is highly recommended.

Join Ms. Meg for studio time downstairs at the Fennville District Library! Through the lens of interconnectedness and well-being, students are invited to use their imaginations to dream up a brighter, more hopeful future for themselves and their community. Students will create cut-paper collage, explore creative writing, and engage with professional artist Molly Costello on November 1st. Sessions build on one another, participation in all dates is highly recommended. No prior experience needed, the only requirement is a vivid imagination!

This workshop is based on the works of Chicago-based illustrator, Molly Costello. Their exhibition “Fertile Futures” is on display at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts through October 21 – January 27.

The 4 sessions of this workshop cover:

October 18 – Learn about Molly’s work & explore materials
October 25 – Create sketches and begin collage projects
November 1 – Guest artist Molly Costello visit & demo
November 8 – Finish collage projects and creative writing pieces
