Theater at the SCA

Coming in 2025

June - July 2025

“There are shows you should see right now, for the benefit of your own spirit, and this is one of them.”

– Chicago Tribune

We are thrilled to be the first theater in Michigan to produce the Tony Award winning international phenomenon, Come From Away.

The acclaimed musical takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clash and nerves run high, but uneasiness turns into trust, music soars into the night, and gratitude grows into enduring friendships.

Newsweek cheers, ““It takes you to a place you never want to leave.”  Based on a remarkable true story, this breathtaking musical is a celebration of the best of humankind!

Content Warning: contains some adult themes and infrequent, mild swearing

“Rises to transporting heights, and sweeps up your heart along with it.”

– New York Times

Jenna is a waitress and expert pie-maker trapped in a small town and a rocky marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county, and a satisfying run-in with someone new, offers her a chance at a fresh start. But will she take it?  With the support of her fellow waitresses, Jenna summons the secret ingredient she’s been missing all along — courage

Entertainment Weekly calls the hit musical “a little slice of heaven!” With original music by Grammy winning musician Sara Bareilles, Waitress celebrates the power of friendship, dreams, the family we choose, and the joy of a well-baked pie.

Content Warning: themes of infidelity and domestic violence, some strong adult language.
