Songs from Broadway Blockbusters Hit the SCA Stage

"Just Too Big!" opens TODAY - Wednesday, August 11

This incredible concert was created by SCA Artistic Director, Kurt Stamm. You don’t want to miss out on this chance to see some of your favorite Broadway Blockbuster hits performed on the SCA stage!

Just Too Big! plays ONLY at the SCA, ONLY this summer, and ONLY 8 nights!

Musicals like The Lion King, Hairspray, The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked, and Come From Away have been, quite simply, too big (or not available yet) for our stage… but not this summer!

Our wonderful singers (many of whom you will recognize from the past) share Broadway anecdotes and behind-the-scenes tales during this very special evening of music.

Take a look backstage!

Take a look behind-the-scenes as Artistic Director, Kurt Stamm leads the singers, featuring Lamont Walker II, in the song “Live in Living Color” from the musical Catch Me If You Can. You may recognize Lamont from the 2019 production of In The Heights where he played Benny.

The 5 singers starring in Just Too Big! were selected for their roles out of more than 3,000 who auditioned for our summer season!

BONUS: TWO mini-performances to enjoy

Things are getting a little steamy here as we prepare for the opening tonight. Gina Milo, Nina Negron, and Juliette Redden stopped by the studio for a mini-performance of “Lady Marmalade”.

David Socolar and Lamont Walker, accompanied by Tom Vendafreddo on the piano, and Alex Hamel on the drums, shook on a deal in the rain garden as they performed “The Other Side” from The Greatest Showman.

These are just two examples of the incredible talent that our singers will be bringing to the stage at the one-of-a-kind concert, Just Too Big!
