The Creative Outdoors: Creepy Crawlies w/ Caitlyn Tetreault

About The Program

Nature is full of magic, but can also be filled with plenty of “ick”! Alongside local artist and educator Caitlyn Tetreault, campers will take on the role of field researcher and artist to explore the awesome creepy crawlies of the Outdoor Discovery Center. From insects to fungus to mud, campers will use ink and watercolor to make field drawings and report their findings. Explore how appearances can be deceiving, and beauty can be found anywhere!

Our Guest Artist

Caitlyn Tetreault is an artist based out of West Michigan working in everything from fibers to drawing. Caitlyn is also an educator and middle school teacher, and brings her love of process-based art to every classroom. You can find her work on instagram and etsy.

Our Partner

Outdoor Discovery Center is advancing outdoor education and conservation in West Michigan. Their inquiry-based style of programming allows students to learn about and experience nature and culture in a hands-on manner. With offerings for all ages and audiences.

This offering will be hosted at the Outdoor Discovery Center’s campus: 4214 56th St, Holland, MI 49423. Pick up and drop off will occur in front of the Visitor Center by the main entrance.
