Visiting Artist

Brie Moblo

Brie Moblo owner of beemo textiles is a self taught textile artist working from a home studio in Grand Rapids, MI.

“As a textile artist, my aim is simply beauty with texture and color. I want to create items that you love to walk through your home and glimpse; pieces of clothing that you spy in your closet and grab with joy. My work is making art by bringing color to life and sewing it into functionality.  The process of block printing is multi dimensional; imagining a pattern and carving pieces of that pattern that will puzzle together with ink and pressure onto fabric. Nestled into my being is the unique perception of beauty in objects that speak to us about comfort and function.”
