Art á Loan 2023

AN SCA TRADITION

About Art à Loan

For the twenty-eighth year, the Art à Loan program is returning to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts to feature student work from Saugatuck Public Schools. The annual Art à Loan opening reception with art leasing will take place Wednesday, September 13.

The Art à Loan pieces are selected by area art professionals and are comprised of student artists ranging from grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Each piece is professionally matted, framed and labeled with tags identifying the program, the artist and grade level.

Danielle Hanna, Saugatuck High School’s art teacher, and Melissa Pawlak, Douglas Elementary and Saugatuck Middle School’s visual art teacher are both passionate about building connection through art and are grateful to belong to a supportive and engaging art community. Danielle and Melissa both agree that their students feel the support and connection from the community and Art à Loan helps them be a part of something truly special and unique.

Following the opening event, Art à Loan will be on display in the Saugatuck Center for the Arts Gallery from 10 am to 4 pm weekdays and during performances through October 13, 2022. Admission is free of charge.

The Art à Loan opening reception will take place Wednesday, September 13 at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Gallery doors will open at 6:45pm with leasing beginning promptly at 6:45 pm.
