About The Program

Students will be creating 3 mixed media abstract acrylic paintings throughout the course of the workshop. Students will be using paper, molding paste, stencils, stamps and pieces of old paintings along with any collage materials students may wish to bring. Students will incorporate all the materials and surfaces will be made with paint in layers to create a cohesive abstract composition.
Andrea Tama
Andrea Tama is a mixed media artist inspired by landscapes and flora. They contain mysteries that ask to be uncovered, explored, enhanced—and sometimes not to be trifled with at all. Tama works from photos, drawings, and the memories she gathers. Communicating ideas and feelings about colors, textures, patterns and surfaces of these places is the soul of her work.
