Grand Rapids Ballet presents a performance and lecture demonstration featuring professional dancers from the company and the trainee program. Led by GR Ballet Artistic Director James Sofranko, audience members will see an example of a typical ballet “class” with commentary by Sofranko, as well as performed exclusive excerpts of the company’s repertoire, which includes works in a traditional classical style as well as contemporary choreography. Before each piece, Sofranko will provide an introduction explaining what you are about to experience, followed by the performance and then a question and answer session with the company.
