Jenna is a waitress and expert pie-maker trapped in a small town and a rocky marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county, and a satisfying run-in with someone new, offers her a chance at a fresh start. But will she take it? With the support of her fellow waitresses, Jenna summons the secret ingredient she’s been missing all along — courage.
Entertainment Weekly calls the hit musical “a little slice of heaven!” With an original score by Grammy winning singer and composer Sara Bareilles, Waitress celebrates the power of friendship, dreams, the family we choose, and the joy of a well-baked pie.
Content Warning: themes of infidelity and domestic violence, some strong adult language.

Our in-house Artistic Director Kurt Stamm hand selects each one of our cast out of thousands of applicants from around the country. Because we are an Equity theater, we have the opportunity to hire professional actors from the union based in New York, Chicago, LA and more! Kurt and his team then design a set, choreography, sound, light, and full experience from the ground up – meaning you’ll get a one-of-a-kind, Broadway-caliber, professional performance right here in Saugatuck.
