About The Program
Using fiber reactive dyes, you will create a set of 4 cotton tea towels to take home. Learn from the artist’s tried and true method of using a cold process pigment to dye plant-based material without the use of heat, excess water or metallic additives. Learn different techniques for binding your fabric to create interesting designs, and experiment with colors in a range of vibrant earthy hues.
If desired, you may also bring one clean, lightly colored natural fiber item from home to dye! Fibers must be made of cotton, linen, silk, wool, or other naturally sourced fiber, as dyes will not adhere to synthetic fibers.
