About The Program
Learning from local histories and food cultures, campers will cook a tasty dish and learn why local food is important to the environment and communities. Learn a bit of the local food culture, what food is native to West Michigan, and prep for a picnic using local ingredients! Led by star local chef Mindy Trafman, campers will get a glimpse into the world of a professional kitchen, learn valuable cooking skills. Campers will enjoy their hard-earned work with a celebratory picnic on the outdoor patio of Coast 236!
All cooking and dining will be held outdoors on Coast 236’s patio.
