She has worked with, performed with, and/or coached by Concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra, William Preucil; violinists Midori, Ivan Zenaty, and Paul Kantor; the violist of the Juilliard String Quartet, Roger Tapping; and cellist Sharon Robinson of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio.
Julia serves on the piano faculty of CIM’s prestigious summer program for talented young pianists, Summer Sonata. She is also a highly sought after adjudicator in piano competitions in both the United States and Canada.
Program:
“Since the theme of this season is “Rootedness”, I have gone back to the very base of every classical pianist’s program planning: choosing a piece from each of the following period: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary. This also provides me the opportunity to give my audience a “crash course” of the Western Music History.” ~Julia Russ, Classical Pianist.
