About The Program

Join us for this introductory crochet course for first timers or those who are familiar and just starting out. With instruction from fiber artist, Rachel Hefferan, we’ll be making a textured crochet plant hanger entirely of simple chains using jute yarn. Leave with a finished hanger, pot, and choose a small plant to take home with you. All materials and supplies provided!

Rachel Hefferan

Rachel Hefferan is a “homesteader, fermentation nerd, and hopeful environmentalist” whose textile works focus on ecology and microbiology. Rachel’s weavings reference microbial communities and patterns, enlarging and entangling the microscopic into the material world of textiles. Rachel lives and works in Michigan.
