About the Fellowship
Throughout 2026, Heather will deepen the mission of the SCA to build community, create connections, and provide transformative experiences and wellbeing through the power of movement as art.Â
Our Creative Fellowship program helps artists and audiences learn how to flow and grow together.
About The Artist
Heather Winia is a movement educator, facilitator, and creative guide whose work is rooted in the practice of flow—as a rhythm, a way of being, and a path toward deeper connection. With more than three decades of experience, she inspires people of all ages and abilities to move intuitively, live authentically, and rediscover joy through feel-good movement.
Heather is a Master Trainer and Director of Education with The World GROOVE Movement and a featured creator on Body GROOVE On Demand, she brings whole-person wellness into spaces ranging from senior centers and college campuses to yoga studios and open fields. She is the founder of Positive Vibes, a heart-centered, community-driven practice dedicated to cultivating vitality, resilience, and embodied creativity.Â
Wherever she teaches, Heather creates welcoming spaces where everybody is invited to dance, play, and reconnect with the innate wisdom of their body.
In 2026, Heather’s Creative Fellowship with the SCA will celebrate Flow as both personal and collective—an ever-evolving exchange between people, place, and possibility. Through workshops and participatory gatherings, she will invite our communities to experiment with movement as a form of creative expression, body awareness, and connection. Her practice encourages participants to tune in, try new things, and discover how embodied exploration can spark joy, presence, and a deeper sense of belonging.
