Saugatuck Center for the Arts Scores 12 Wilde Awards

In it’s 22nd year of professional theater, the Saugatuck Center for the Arts receives 12 Wilde Awards from Encore Michigan for excellence in theater. The Wilde Awards, Michigan’s premier celebration of the performing arts, recognized SCA’s remarkable productions, performers, and creative teams in its 2024 season.

The Saugatuck Center for the Arts, a vibrant hub for arts, culture, and education, has long been committed to delivering top-tier theater that inspires and engages audiences. This year’s Wilde Awards confirm SCA’s role as a leading force in Michigan’s theater landscape.

“These awards are a testament to the immense talent, passion, and hard work of our performers, designers, crew members, and the entire SCA family,” says Kurt Stamm, Artistic Director at the SCA. “We are so proud to bring world-class theater to our audiences and to share these achievements with our incredible community.”

For the 2024 season, the SCA was recognized across multiple categories from performers to creative teams. The SCA’s award-winning season includes:

  • Best Musical: Beautiful: The Carole King Musical AND Million Dollar Quartet
  • Best Director (Musical): Kurt Stamm, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical AND Trey Compton, Million Dollar Quartet
  • Best Lead Actor (Musical): Dan Fenaughty, Million Dollar Quartet
  • Best Supporting Actor (Musical): Kyle Southern, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
  • Best Supporting Actress (Musical): Payton Reilly, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
  • Best Lighting: Jennifer Kules, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
  • Best Costumes: Marley Boone, Million Dollar Quartet
  • Best Scenic Designs: Ranae Selmeyer, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical
  • Best Musical Direction: Tom Vendafreddo, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical AND Chris Blisset, Million Dollar Quartet
