In 2023, we’re digging in deeper and finding out what it means to be rooted. Our exhibitions, programs, and featured artists will explore the theme of rootedness in its different forms… from rich personal experiences, to our local community, and traditions surrounding family and culture.
Based on a true story, Kinky Boots brings joy, motivation, and a little bit of glamor to the SCA stage this summer. With music by Grammy Award-winning pop icon Cyndi Lauper, this “VA-VA-VOOM production” (New York Times) will inspire audiences to dance and sing along. Kinky Boots is a must-see musical that proves that sometimes the best way to fit in is to stand out!

Tony Award-Winning Singer/songwriter/pianist Levi Kreis brings Broadway classics, jazz, gospel, country, and rockabilly to the SCA stage. Storytelling and comedic timing will have the audience in stitches, meanwhile Levi’s ability to embody a song will inspire tears. Don’t miss this unique and intimate evening from one of Broadway’s biggest talents.
Tinsley Ellis and Marcia Ball are excited to present an intimate evening of their music and memories called Acoustic Songs and Stories. Tinsley will perform many of his most popular songs from his twenty albums, plus some delta blues and classics on his National Steel and Martin acoustic guitars. Marcia, a five-time Grammy nominee, will play the piano and sing her raucous and touching original songs. Finally, they will come together as a duo to close the night playing songs together and swapping tales of their travels and travails. Don’t miss this special performance.

Together since 2007, Heartache Tonight is without question the finest Eagles tribute in the country. The band performs songs from all eras and all incarnations of the Eagles, including many of the individual member’s hugely popular solo hits. If you’re a fan, don’t miss this very special evening!

Grammy-winning, fiddle-picking, bluegrass legend Michael Cleveland and his band, Flamekeeper, take the SCA stage for the first time. Michael began playing the fiddle at the age of 4, attended the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville, studying the Suzuki method of violin. In addition to touring with his band, Michael has performed with a legendary list of bluegrass greats including Billy Strings, Béla Fleck, Tommy Emmanuel, Vince Gill, and more. Meet and greet Michael Cleveland and the band by getting one of the limited VIP tickets available.
