HAND KNITTED WIRE JEWELRY

Knitters learn to create their own unique hand knitted wire jewelry with beads as Ms. Flynn teaches students how to make a multi-strand bracelet using knitting stitches in this 3 hour workshop.  Students must supply size 8 (10-inch/25cm length) aluminum knitting needles.

Jim LaPerriere graduated number one in his class at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. With 23 years of culinary experience, much focused in California, Chef LaPerriere has relocated to southwest Michigan and is a Personal Executive Chef focusing his talent and creativity on private events including demonstration dinners, individual and group cooking classes, corporate team building dinners, and weddings.

Prior to relocating in Saugatuck, he was a regular culinary instructor for the Sacramento branch of William Sonoma and a participating instructor for the Raley’s & Bel-Air Fine Foods cooking program. He is a member of Slow Food USA and a strong believer in the farm to table approach.

Award winning master brewer Steve Berthel from Benton Harbor’s Livery brings his expertise in the brewing business to Saugatuck. Sample 3 lagers and 3 ales and learn the history, color, and taste of various styles of beer. All of Berthel’s beers are "Hand-forged Microbrews" painstakingly created by Berthel and his assistant, Wally Rouse.

Open figure studio provides an independent study forum for the maintenance and development of artistic skills and allows for free experimentation essential for creative development in all media.

Draw, paint, or sculpt in clay the nude and costumed figure in this 2 1/2 hour open studio session for all levels of artists. The model's pose lengths can be arranged according to the class's preference.

This is not an instructed course.

Join Bill St. John on a whirl-wind global wine tour.  Taste reds and whites from Chile, Australia, South Africa, Spain, Greece, Southern France, and Austria – seven wines, seven countries and lots of wonderful tastes and scents.  St. John will help participants learn about identifying characteristics of wines from each country and will also talk about pairing wines with holiday culinary offerings.
