Young Hyun Cho
Young Hyun Cho is an Associate Professor of Piano at Michigan State University.  She received her D.M.A. from Eastman School of Music with Dr. Nelita True, M.M. and G.P.D. from Peabody Conservatory with Boris Slutsky, and B.M. from Seoul National University with Mikyung Kim. Prior to her appointment at MSU, Young Hyun Cho was an Associate Professor of Piano at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Her concert activities have taken her around the world. She has performed in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Spain, Thailand, and throughout the United States. Recent reviews on her piano playing include the Aachen Zeitung of Germany: “Hohe Kunst auf den Tasten” (High Art on the Keys), “Hoch anspruchsvolles Repertoire vorgetragen in selten zu horender Perfektion” (A highly challenging repertoire presented with a rare to hear perfection), “Hochkaratigen Klavierkonzert” (a high-profile piano concert).
Young Hyun Cho has performed as a featured soloist with orchestras of KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) Symphony (twice), Seoul National Symphony, Korean Symphony, Daejeon Philharmonic, Eurasian Philharmonic, International Chamber Ensemble of Rome, Eastman Symphony, Holland Symphony, New Philharmonic of Irving, Northeast Symphony, and University of Texas at Arlington.
