*On Thursday, campers need to be dropped off and picked up at the Saugatuck Douglas History Museum located at 735 Park Street, Saugatuck, just across the parking lot from the Mt. Baldhead steps.
Wind, wheels, water, gears, and bodies!
We’ll start our three day water fun camp with a visit to "Cold War|Hot Towns"
at the Saugatuck Douglas History Museum
. There we’ll learn about the history of our local waters during the 50s, 60s and 70s and discuss what life - and watercrafts - are like on the water today.
Back at the SCA,
we’ll delve into the world of invention and design. Starting from the water up, we’ll discover tools and technologies used to create today’s high tech boats -- the same concepts that campers will use to design and build their own futuristic watercraft!
We’ll brainstorm lots of ideas, build, play and have fun, inventing our way out of wacky water challenges. And we’ll discover, along the way, the creative genius that lives inside each of us!
Mandatory minimum of 6 students per camp in order to run. If camp needs to be canceled due to below minimum registration, you will be notified 5 days prior to camp and receive a full refund.
Full refunds are available IF cancellation notice is given at least two weeks prior to the start of camp. If notice is given less than two weeks prior, a 50% refund will be awarded. After camp begins, refunds are not available.
